Please note that this is not insurance and so is not optional. This parcel protection Surcharge ensures that clients get compensated to the tune of 75% of their declared value when shipment is damaged or lost in Nigeria.


JABEZ SHIPPING SERVICES parcel protection seeks to provide a lasting solution to the uncertainties, which our clients face in Nigeria. We seek to protect all clients’ shipment until they reach the final destination.


How It Works!

When a shipment is dropped off at a JABEZ SHIPPING SERVICES location the shipment value is determined and 1% of that shipment valued is charged to the customer as a parcel protection fee. In the event that a customer’s shipment is damaged or lost in Nigeria, the Parcel protection account will pay up to 75% of the declared value of that shipment.


A client with lost or damaged packages will be required to fill out a claim form on our website. The claim form will be processed by our adjuster within 7 working days and a decision will be made based on the validity of the claim. If a decision is made in favor of the client, 75% of the total value insured will be paid to the customer in Nigeria. All payments will be made via checks and clients can reorder their shipment and we will ship at no charge as further compensation for the loss or damage.


All damage or loss claim must be filed within 72 hours of picking up shipment otherwise, the claim cannot be honored. If the client does not have access to the internet, he/she can contact us over the phone to file a claim within the grace period.
